Help & FAQ
Everything you need to know about how LivingTGR works - from building your profile to understanding your AI matches.
Getting Started
How do I set up my profile?
After you register, the Profile page walks you through seven guided steps, in this order: Photo, Get Verified, Basics, Lifestyle, Gallery, Match Preferences, and your Requirement Card. Each step has Continue to move on once you've filled it in, and optional steps also have Skip. You can save and come back to finish any step later - your progress is tracked on the Profile overview.
When you finish the last step, you'll see "Your profile has been set up" - you can use your profile once our Admin approves it, within 24 hours. We'll email you when it's approved.
What is my unique member ID?
Every member gets a permanent, random 6-character ID (letters and numbers, for example K8QFW7) the moment they register. You'll see it on your Profile page in the "Your referral code" card, and it's shown as "ID" right under the main photo on your profile as other members see it. It never changes, and it's the same code you share with friends - see the next question. It contains no personal information, so it's safe to share.
How does selfie verification work?
Get Verified is a step in profile setup right after Photo, and it's open to every user - free or Premium, activated or not. It needs your existing profile photo plus a short 5-10 second video of you looking at the camera and saying your first name, so a reviewer can confirm you look, move and sound like a real person matching the photo. The video is recorded with sound, so your browser will ask to use both your camera and your microphone - allow both. You can record the video right in your browser or upload a file.
A real person reviews each submission, usually within a day - there's no automated face-match. While a request is pending, the upload form is replaced with a status message; once reviewed, you'll see either a verified badge next to your name, or a rejected status with the reviewer's note and the form back so you can resubmit a fresh video. You'll also get an email either way - including the reviewer's note if it wasn't approved. Once you're verified, the "Verify" button disappears from your Profile page and only the Verified badge remains. This step is required: right after you upload your profile picture you must upload this video, and until you do, the rest of the site (matches, messages, AI features and everything else) stays locked. Once the video is submitted the site unlocks while a reviewer checks it.
🔒 Is my phone number ever shown to other members?
No - never, to anyone, at any subscription tier, on any page. This is deliberate and something no other platform in this space offers. The only way your phone number or WhatsApp reaches another member is if you personally choose to share it: once you have a mutual match, the Chat page has a "Share my contact info by email" button. Clicking it emails your number directly to that one match - it's never displayed on your profile, in chat, or anywhere else, and you get your own confirmation copy of exactly what was sent.
What's a Requirement Card, and why does it matter?
It's the core of LivingTGR: a card describing what you're actually looking for - relationship type, duration expectations, financial clarity, lifestyle compatibility, boundaries, future plans, and a contract amount range. Instead of matching on a bio and a photo, LivingTGR's AI matches you on whether your requirements actually line up with someone else's.
The first time you open this step, every field is pre-filled with generic starter answers so you're not staring at a wall of empty boxes - edit them (or clear and rewrite) so they actually reflect you before saving. Once you've saved a real answer, it's never overwritten with a default again.
How many photos and videos can I upload?
Up to 10 photos and 3 videos in your Gallery, plus one main profile photo.
On the Gallery page, tap Add photos / videos and select several at once (up to 10 at a time) - they start uploading as soon as you pick them, one after another, with progress shown. Anything over your remaining limit is skipped with a note, and each upload stays hidden from others until an admin approves it. Your main profile photo works differently: after you choose it, you frame it (drag to reposition, slider to zoom) and then upload it.
Can I add a voice or video introduction to my profile?
Yes, both. A voice introduction is the same recording you make for the Voice Personality Analyzer - once uploaded, it's also playable by anyone viewing your profile, no separate step needed. A video introduction is a short clip uploaded from your profile page, and - like every photo and gallery video - it goes through admin review before it's visible to anyone else. Neither is required.
What does "Rewrite with AI" do?
It sits next to your bio and your Requirement Card's free-text fields. Click it to have the AI clean up grammar, tighten rambling sentences, and improve tone - without changing any fact, number, or requirement you actually wrote. If you don't like the result, click Undo to restore exactly what you had before.
Matching & Discovery
How does the matching engine decide who I see?
LivingTGR compares Requirement Cards, lifestyle habits, and location to rank compatibility - not just proximity or who's currently online. Every profile is also screened by the AI Fake Profile Eliminator before it can appear in anyone's feed.
How do I read the scores on each match?
Discover is already sorted best-first, so the top of your list is your strongest match - look for the "Top Match" badge and the green outline. Similarity is your overall compatibility score across four weighted dimensions (Commitment & Practicalities, Lifestyle & Daily Life, Values & Identity, Boundaries & Future Plans) - the breakdown for all four is shown under every match, not just the overall number. Lifestyle is a separate score comparing day-to-day habits like sleep schedule and work hours. Financial only appears once you've both set a contract amount, and shows whether they're within 10% of each other.
Can I set a minimum match % for Discover?
Yes - on your Profile page's Match Preferences step, "Minimum overall match % to show in Discover" controls the floor: anyone scoring below it never appears in your Discover feed at all. It defaults to 55% even if you never touch it, so you're not shown candidates the engine considers a poor fit. Lower it to see more candidates (down to 0%, which removes the floor entirely and shows everyone regardless of score), or raise it to see only your strongest matches. Changes apply immediately, no recompute needed.
What do Like, Dislike, and Save do?
Liking or disliking a profile removes them from your Discover feed for good - they won't be suggested to you again, even after a recompute. If both of you like each other, that's a mutual match, which unlocks messaging. Neither decision is final, though: My Likes has separate Liked, Saved, and Disliked tabs, and you can change your mind from either - click Dislike on someone in your Liked tab if you swiped the wrong way (this also ends the mutual match if you had one), or click Like on someone in your Disliked tab to undo it and move them back to Liked. Save is different from a like or dislike - it's not a decision at all, just a personal bookmark ("look at this again later"). A saved profile is never removed from Discover and can keep reappearing there, unlike anyone you've liked or disliked.
How do I know if someone's online right now?
A green "● Online" tag appears next to a member's name - on Discover, Matches, My Likes, and their full profile - whenever they've used the app in roughly the last 5 minutes. It's based on real activity, not a manual toggle, so it disappears automatically a few minutes after someone closes the app, the same way it works on WhatsApp or Instagram.
What are Advanced Filters?
A collapsible panel above your Discover list, open to every member - narrow candidates by age range, city, verified-only, or online-now, on top of the AI matching ranking you already get. Filters apply for that browsing session; they don't change your saved minimum match % preference.
Can I see who viewed my profile?
Yes - a Premium perk. From your profile page, "See who's viewed you" lists everyone who's opened your profile, most recent first. It's part of full AI/matching access, so it needs an active Premium subscription (or admin-activated access) the same as your matches and AI features - see Membership below.
Messaging
When can I start messaging someone?
On a free account, messaging opens up once you've mutually liked each other. You can always reply to anyone who messages you first, even without a mutual match.
Does Premium change how messaging works?
Yes - Premium members can start a conversation with anyone they've liked, without waiting for the other person to like back.
Can I video call a match?
Yes, but only if both of you turn it on: go to your Profile's Basics page and check "Allow video calls from mutual matches" - it's off by default, the same privacy-first posture as your phone number. Once you've both mutually matched and both opted in, a Video Call button appears on that match's Chat page. The call happens directly in your browser using your camera and microphone - no phone number is ever exchanged, and the video itself never passes through LivingTGR's servers.
Can I send a voice message?
Yes - the mic button next to the message box on any Chat page. Click it once to start recording, click again to stop and send automatically. Voice messages follow the same rules as text (mutual match, or Premium messaging someone you've liked) and aren't reviewed before sending.
How do read receipts work?
A "Seen [time]" note appears under the last message you sent, once the other person has actually opened that conversation. It only shows on your most recent message, not every one you've sent.
AI Features
AI Requirement Interpreter
You write what you want in plain language on your Requirement Card - the AI structures it into comparable signals (emotional needs, financial expectations, lifestyle, boundaries) so it can be matched fairly against everyone else's.
Matching Engine 2.0
Your Requirement Card is scored against every other member across four weighted dimensions - Commitment & Practicalities, Lifestyle & Daily Life, Values & Identity, and Boundaries & Future Plans - instead of one blended number. Each dimension is compared separately, so a match's score is explainable: you can see which parts of your requirements actually aligned and which didn't, not just a single opaque percentage.
Match Insights & the Compatibility Negotiator
Open any match and you'll see an AI-generated breakdown: where you align, where you don't, and suggested compromises - a starting point for a real conversation, not a verdict.
Match Story Generator
Alongside the Negotiator, every mutual match gets a short, specific narrative - why the match works, how your personalities line up, and where it could go - plus a handful of concrete compatibility highlights and a few conversation-starter suggestions grounded in what you both actually wrote, not generic icebreakers.
Lifestyle Match Score
Compares day-to-day habits - sleep schedule, work hours, travel, food, fitness - into a single compatibility score for the match.
Emotional Personality Engine
Runs quietly in the background as you message - every 5th message you send, LivingTGR looks at your messaging patterns (response timing, message length, punctuation, consistency) alongside the actual content to classify your attachment/emotional style as secure, avoidant, impulsive, or over-dependent, with a confidence score and a short trait breakdown (warmth, consistency, expressiveness, independence). It needs real conversation history to say anything meaningful - a brand-new account won't have a result yet.
Breakup Risk Meter
For an active match, LivingTGR can estimate relationship risk from conversation patterns, both people's emotional styles, and any conflicts the Negotiator flagged. A directional signal meant to prompt a conversation, not a verdict on the relationship.
Future-Prediction Simulator
User-triggered, per match: projects how compatibility might evolve over 3 months, 6 months, and a year, grounded in your Matching Engine 2.0 breakdown rather than generic relationship advice - a dimension that scored low shows up as a named risk factor, one that scored high shows up as a named strength, alongside an overall trajectory read (improving, stable, declining, or uncertain).
Voice Personality Analyzer
Record a short voice note right on the Voice page (uploading an existing audio file isn't possible - it has to be recorded there, so allow microphone access when your browser asks) and LivingTGR transcribes it, then judges confidence, emotional stability, sincerity, warmth, and assertiveness from the words you actually used - filler words, hedging language, sentence length and structure.
Once your analysis is ready, the results (all five scores and a short summary) appear right on your Profile page. To record again, use Repeat analysis there.
AI Relationship Contract Generator
From a mutual match, you can generate a live-in, expectation, or financial-responsibility agreement as a downloadable PDF or Word document, based on what's in both of your Requirement Cards.
Generating a new agreement is limited to once per account per calendar month, across all your matches and all three agreement types combined - the limit resets on the 1st. Once generated, you can download it (PDF or Word) as many times as you like, with no limit.
AI Financial Compatibility Report
For a mutual match, generates a narrative report comparing spending habits, saving philosophy, attitude to debt, and investment mindset - grounded in what you've each shared on your Lifestyle and Requirement Card, not generic financial advice. Ends with a handful of specific talking points to bring up with each other.
AI Relationship Health Check-in
Request a snapshot any time from a mutual match's chat page: a 0-100 score across communication, trust, shared goals, and quality time, plus a short summary and a few concrete suggestions to try that week. Communication and quality-time are read from your actual chat history; trust and shared goals lean on your compatibility breakdown, since those can't be read from message tone alone. Each check-in is saved, so checking in periodically builds a history you can look back on - there's no automatic weekly reminder, it's a "check in when you think of it" tool.
AI Scam Risk Detection
For a mutual match with enough messages exchanged, screens the conversation for classic romance-scam patterns - requests for money, manufactured urgency, inconsistent personal details - and returns a risk score with the specific messages that raised concern, if any. A safety tool meant to flag something worth a closer look, not an accusation.
AI Dating Coach
A private, 24/7 AI assistant with its own page - ask it anything about your relationships or dating life ("should we move in together?", "are we financially ready for this?", "how much should we save before marriage?") and get a direct answer. It only remembers the current conversation; clearing it starts fresh with no history carried over.
AI Date Idea Suggestions
From the Matches page, open a mutual match and click into their Chat, then switch to the Insights tab - the "Date Idea Suggestions" card there generates personalized date ideas across four categories - local ideas, budget-friendly options, weekend activities, and vacation suggestions - based on both of your profiles rather than a generic list.
Free Tools
Four quick self-assessments, open to everyone - no account or login needed. Each one shows a category breakdown with charts and can be downloaded as a PDF.
Relationship Advice Library
515+ fact-checked articles across 30 categories - live-in relationships, marriage, money, family pressure, compatibility, housing, travel, and more - written for couples navigating real decisions. Free to read, no account required, searchable from the Articles page.
Compatibility Score - how the two-person flow works
This is the only one of the four that involves two people, using a shareable link rather than both of you needing an account:
1. One person opens Compatibility Quiz, optionally types their name, and clicks Start.
2. They answer all 100 questions. When they finish, the page shows a unique link with a Copy button instead of a result.
3. They send that link to their partner however they'd like - text, WhatsApp, email.
4. The partner opens the link, sees a "someone's waiting on you" screen, and answers the same 100 questions themselves - no account needed for either person.
5. The moment both have answered, both of you see the same result on your own screen: an overall agreement score, a category breakdown with charts, and every question you answered differently, listed with both answers side by side.
6. Either person can download the result as a PDF. The link keeps working for 3 days, so you can both revisit it - after that, the quiz data is deleted.
Moving Together Readiness Score - solo, no link needed
Unlike Compatibility Score, this one is answered by just one person about their own perception - there's no partner step or link to share. Open Readiness Quiz, answer all 100 questions covering finances, logistics, household division of labor, and more, and your result (category breakdown, charts, and your lowest-scoring answers called out as concrete conversation starters) appears immediately on the same page. Downloadable as a PDF right away.
Marriage Pressure Index - solo, no link needed
Also a solo quiz - open Marriage Pressure Quiz and answer 21 questions measuring how much family, age, and social pressure is shaping your marriage timeline. Unlike the other scores, a higher number here means more felt pressure, not a better outcome - your result includes practical suggestions for whichever category scored highest, shown immediately with no waiting on anyone else.
In-Law Compatibility Score - solo, no link needed
Also solo - open In-Law Quiz and answer 24 questions on family expectations, boundaries, visits, and financial expectations with (prospective) in-laws, one of the most common sources of relationship strain. Your category-broken-down result, with the lowest-scoring answers flagged for discussion, appears right away.
Membership & Pricing
Why can't I see my matches or use AI features yet?
New accounts start on hold - matches and AI features (the Contract Generator and Voice Analyzer included) stay locked until your account is activated. The quickest way: complete profile setup and selfie verification. When our Admin approves your verification (usually within 24 hours), your account is activated automatically with a free membership period, and we email you. After that period, keep access with a Premium subscription from the Membership page, or contact support (see "Other ways to pay" on the Membership page) to arrange payment directly.
What do free members get?
Once your account is activated (see above), free members get full access to browsing, matching, your AI insights, and messaging - you can reply to any conversation someone else starts with you, always, at no cost.
What does Premium add?
Premium unlocks: starting a conversation with anyone you've liked without waiting on a mutual match, advanced Discover filters, profile boost placement, and full access to every AI matching feature. It's $10/month.
Is there a free trial?
No - Premium requires a real, confirmed payment through Stripe (or a support-activated account) starting from the day you upgrade. Your profile also needs to pass selfie verification first - see Get Verified on your Profile page - before the Upgrade option becomes available at all.
How do I subscribe or cancel?
Manage your plan any time from the Membership page - subscribing takes you through a secure Stripe checkout, and you can cancel whenever you like.
Can I pay without a card?
Yes. The Membership page has an "Other ways to pay" section with the current options and who to contact to arrange payment directly - for example a local payment option in India, or any other method if you can't use a card.
How does "Invite Friends" work?
Go to the Invite Friends page and enter your friend's email - they'll get an invite from LivingTGR with a link to join. There's no limit on how many friends you can invite. Once your friend creates an account through your invite link and completes selfie verification, you both get one month of Premium free automatically - it stacks on top of any time you already have, it doesn't replace it.
Why didn't I get my free month yet?
The free month is granted only once your invited friend is a verified member, not just when they sign up - this is what keeps the reward meaningful and stops it being farmed with throwaway accounts. Check your Invite Friends page: "Signed up - awaiting verification" means they've created an account but haven't completed selfie verification yet; "Joined - free month granted!" means the reward has already been applied to both accounts.
How do I use my ID as a referral code, and see who joined with it?
Share your 6-character ID with friends. When they register, they can type it into the optional "Referral code" box (or open a link ending in ?ref=YOURCODE and it's filled in for them). To see everyone who joined with your code, open the Invite Friends page and scroll to "Members who joined with your code": it lists each member's name, email, whether their profile is activated, the date they joined, and their city and state. Click any column heading to sort by it, and click again to reverse the order. This is separate from invite emails: the one-month Premium reward still applies only to friends you invite by email who then complete selfie verification.
Safety & Privacy
How does LivingTGR handle fake profiles?
Every profile is automatically screened for stock photos, AI-generated faces, and suspicious bios before it's shown to anyone else. Your profile photo is also checked to make sure it can be used for verification (see the next question).
Why was my profile photo rejected?
Your photo is checked the moment you upload it - before it's saved anywhere. It's rejected if it doesn't clearly show a real person (a photo of food, a pet, a landscape, or an object won't be accepted as a profile photo), if it looks like a stock image or an AI-generated face, or if it contains nudity or sexually explicit content, which is never allowed on LivingTGR.
Because reviewers compare your photo with your verification video, it must also show only you, with your face clearly visible: no group photos, nothing covering your face (sunglasses, a mask, your hand or heavy shadow), not so far away that your face is tiny, not too blurry or dark, and facing the camera. Ordinary glasses, hats and filters are fine. If a photo isn't accepted, you'll see a red box saying "This photo is not accepted for review" with the reason - please upload a new photo to send for verification. If an admin later rejects a photo, you'll get an email with the reason too.
Genuine phone selfies, filtered photos, and professional headshots are all fine - the check is only meant to catch photos that clearly aren't real, unedited photos of you. If your real photo gets flagged and you believe it's a mistake, try a different photo or a different angle/lighting.
Why isn't my new photo showing up to other members yet?
On top of the automatic check above, every new photo - your profile photo and anything you add to your Gallery - goes into a pending state until an admin reviews and approves it. Your previous approved photo (if you had one) keeps showing to everyone else the whole time, so you're never left with a blank profile while a new upload is under review. You can still see your own pending upload on the Photo or Gallery page with a note that it's awaiting approval - once reviewed, it either goes live or you'll see a rejection reason and can try again.
What happens if I change my profile photo after I'm verified?
Your selfie verification is tied to the exact photo a reviewer approved, so replacing your profile photo resets that verification and deactivates your profile until it passes again - this keeps the verified badge meaningful instead of letting someone swap in a different photo after the fact. You'll see a notice on the Photo page explaining this, and the Profile overview will show your account as deactivated with a link to Get Verified. Submit a new video against your new photo, and as soon as a reviewer approves it (usually within a day), your profile reactivates automatically.
How do I activate or deactivate my profile?
From the Activate card on your Profile page, once your verification is approved. When you click Activate or Deactivate, a short confirmation appears right there on the page - nothing changes until you click Yes, and Cancel leaves everything as it was. Deactivating hides you from other members and matching until you activate again; your matches and chats are kept.
Can just anyone message me?
No - conversations only start after a mutual like (or a Premium member choosing to message someone they've liked). There's no way for a stranger to land in your inbox unsolicited.
